Join a private tour for the nature lovers with amazing birds watching experiences. See the beautiful Bali starling birds and explore the wild West Bali National Park with all its amazing flora and fauna diversity.
At your accommodation in the south of Bali (Kuta, Seminyak, Legian, Canggu, Umalas, Tuban, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Ubud, Uluwatu, or Sanur).
Have breakfast and get ready to take a long transfer to one of the most beautiful places in Bali, West Bali National Park (Taman Nasional Bali Barat). On the way, you will have a refreshing stop at the highest swimmable waterfall in Bali, Git-Git, and the biggest Buddhist Monastery on the island. In the afternoon, you will arrive at Labuhan Lalang harbor, from where a fast boat will drop you to the beautiful NusaBay Menjangan island. This is the only resort located in the territory of the West Bali National Park and cannot be accessed by any other transportation than a boat.
You will then arrive at the West Bali National Park, which was created by the Dutch in 1941 to protect the endangered Bali starling birds and the last remaining banteng. West Bali National Park is mountainous and consists of primary monsoon forest, mangrove forest, lowland rain forest, savanna, seagrass vegetation types, coral reefs, sandy beaches, and both shallow and deep sea water. There will be no activities planned for this day so you may take a rest and have a delicious dinner.
Your tour today begins at 7:00 AM and finishes between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. Walking through the jungle with a resort ranger is an unforgettable experience. With about 160 different species West Bali National Park is a paradise for bird-watchers. The wildlife consists mostly of the sea and shore birds, the most conspicuous being the brown boobies and lesser frigatebirds. There is also a chance to see mammals including banteng, a species of wild cattle from which the familiar Bali cows descended. Javanese Rusa and Indian Muntjac deer are quite widespread and Menjangan Island is in fact named after these. Menjangan means deer in Bahasa Indonesia. Wild boar and leopard cats are both quite common but seldom seen. If you are lukcy you may see some of the protected species including the timid ebony langur (trachypithecus auratus), Javan rusa, or Sunda sambar deer (rusa timorensis). You will be transferred back to Labuhan Lalang harbor, from where a private car will return you to your accommodation in South Bali.
